Backwash – Push-Pull Valves

Push-Pull Valve in Backwash Position

In the diagram below, there is a DE filter with a plunger valve in the backwash position. The plunger valve takes the water backwards through the filter grids. It flushes the dirt and DE off of the grids and takes the water out through the sewer line.
