Valve Settings – When Backwashing

When backwashing the pools, the regular pool intakes should be left open.  If you have just vacuumed a lot of debris into one intake line, then close that line while backwashing.

If your pool has a separation tank, then be sure to open the appropriate valves or you will risk blowing up the filter or separation tank risking personal injury.  See the separation tank section for more information.
