Some pools are equipped with a vacuum port in the wall of the pool. This makes it easier
to vacuum the pool since it is usually centrally located in the pool.
The danger in a vacuum line is that if it is left open, someone could be sucked against it and injured or killed. Vacuum lines should ALL be equipped with “vac lock” devices which have spring loaded covers on them that lock shut when the vacuum hose is removed.
