Jandy Check Valves

The Jandy/Compool style check valve has a flapper and a spring.  The flapper is hinged at the top and swings up and down.
The seal on the flapper provides a positive seal.  The unique thing about this valve is that it uses the same body as a Jandy or Compool valve.

When water goes forward through the valve, the flapper swings up and allows the water through the valve.

When there is no water movement or when water attempts to go backwards through the valve the flapper closes and prevents the water
from going through the valve.
