The A.O.Smith Guardian pool pump motors are standard motors that have a Safety Vacuum Release System (SVRS) built in. There are threaded shaft 56J frame and Square Flange 48Y and 56Y frame motors available. There are no keyed shaft motors available in the Guardian series. These motors have an auto-reset feature and are self calibrating. Using a Guardian replacement motor can protect both swimmers and the pump by shutting off the motor and pump when dangerous and harmful conditions are present.
