Choosing a Pool Cleaner
Self Contained Electric Cleaners

IF YOUR
POOL HAS  NO BOOSTER PUMP OR DEDICATED POOLSWEEP LINE.

What is a self-contained cleaner?
Robotic Pool Cleaners

Self-contained
cleaners, also called Robotic cleaners, are electrically-powered, are
not connected to the pool equipment or plumbing, and contain a motor in
the cleaning unit, much like a vacuum cleaner for floors.
These
Robotic Cleaners

can be used on almost any pool.

What do I need to make this work?

The main requirement is a 115v power source with GFCI close to the pool.

What are the advantages of this type of Pool Cleaner?

1.Since robotic
cleaners are not connected to the pool plumbing or equipment, they
prevent debris from reaching the skimmer, pump or filter, reducing
equipment maintenance and extending the life of the equipment.

2.These cleaners can
clean an average size pool in just a couple  of hours.

3.Robotic cleaners
use 24v power from a transformer and electrical consumption is very low.

What are the disadvantages of this type of Pool Cleaner?

The cleaner cannot
be left in the pool all the time as most other type cleaners are. They
are dropped in to clean and, when cleaning is done, they must be removed
and stored until the next time.
