The Pentair and Sta-Rite OptiFlo® pumps are the perfect choice for a new above ground pool and for replacement of an older pump such as the Sta-Rite JWPA and ABG pumps. OptiFlo® Pumps for aboveground pools feature a revolutionary design that delivers dependable high flow performance. These pumps come with either Horizontal (to the side) or Vertical (straight up) discharge port. The discharge type can be changed on these pumps just by removing the bolts and turning the volute. The OptiFlo features a 48 frame-thru bolt motor, easy access to change the discharge port position, service the impeller, and an exclusive Cam and Ramp™ lid. OptiFlo® pumps deliver dependable high-efficiency flow performance and are easy to maintain. The lid on the large strainer basket is clear so you can see when it needs to be emptied and the cam-and-ramp style allows you to remove the lid with just a quarter of a turn, no tools needed.

Pentair recommends this pump as an operational replacement for the JWPA pumps. The discharge port does not line up the same as the JWPA or other pumps. Re-positioning of the filter or plumbing changes will have to be made. There is no pump available that has the same discharge port placement as the JWPA.
